Amélie m'a écrit en mai dernier pour s'informer sur les séances maternité et nouveau-né. En parlant avec elle, j'ai appris qu'elle avait aussi vu une photo sur Pinterest (Oh non!) qu'elle voulait recréer pour annoncer le sexe du deuxième enfant à venir.

Vous avez tous sûrement déjà vu des photos de « Pinterest Fails » comme celles-ci. Pour que les idées sur Pinterest fonctionnent, ça requiert du talent, mais beaucoup de talent pour réussir le look DIY mais qui n'est pas vraiment DIY, mais plus j'ai-engagé-la-meilleur-planif/décoratrice-ever-au-monde. Non seulement ça, Pinterest nous enlève, à nous artiste-photographe-qui-trippe-sur-la-lumière-et-qui-veut-faire-la-meilleur-shot, une grosse partie de notre créativité et spontanéité. Si vous nous demander de faire quelque chose comme la photo trouvée sur Pinterest, c'est que vous n'avez pas vraiment vu notre travail, ou bien, vous avez un côté, excusez-moi d'avance, un peu « control freak » et vous avez peur de vous laissez aller et de nous faire confiance. C'est lorsque les clients nous font confiances qu'on réalise les plus belles images créatives et naturelles !
Bon, assez de « Pinterest bashing », ici, par contre, Amélie se trouve a avoir du talent, beaucoup de talent. Elle a conçu une boîte des plus mignonnes qui n'a pas l'air quétaine du tout ! Elle, son conjoint et leur premier petit trésor, étaient ouverts du début à la fin, ils ont suivi la vague et c'est ce qui fait que ça reste naturel et charmant. J'ai déjà très hâte à leur séance bédaine à la fin de l'été !!!

You've all probably seen pictures of "Pinterest Fails" like these. For the ideas on Pinterest to work, it requires talent, but a lot of talent for a successful DIY look but that is not really DIY, but more of a I-hired-the-best-planer/decorator-ever-in-the-world. Not only that, Pinterest takes away from us, the artist-photographer-who-loves-light-and-who-wants-the-best-shot, a big part of our creativity and spontaneity. If you ask us to do something like the photo found on Pinterest, it's that you haven't really seen our work, or you have, I apologize in advance, a little "control freak" side and you fear to let yourself go and trust us. It's when clients trust us that we do the finest natural and creative images!
Now enough "Pinterest bashing", here, however, Amélie has talent, great talent. She designed the cutest box that doesn't look cheesy at all! She, her husband and their first little monkey, were open from the beginning to the end, they went with the flow and that's what makes it remain natural and charming. I already look forward to doing their belly session at the end of the summer!
