Mon voyage à Vegas – My trip to Vegas

Ce n'est pas pour rien que la première chose qu'on voit en arrivant sur la rue principale appellée la « strip » est un panneau indiquant « Welcome to fabulous Las Vegas ». Wow ! Quelle ville fabuleuse ! Il faut absolument la visiter au moins une fois dans sa vie. Le budget investi dans les hôtels, les restaurants et les casinos est tout simplement incroyable ! En commençant par les planchers en marbre, la réplique exacte de la Chapelle Sixtine de l'hôtel Venetian, la réplique de la tour Eiffel, le spectacle des fontaines de l'hôtel Bellagio, le New York New York, et j'en passe !

À Las Vegas, on vit dans le pur luxe entouré de boutiques comme Louis Vuitton, Prada, Chanel et compagnie. Le bût de notre voyage, à mon chum et moi, était d'aller à la convention internationale de pizza qui se déroulait au centre de convention de Las Vegas pour trouver des nouvelles idées pour le restaurant où travaille mon amoureux. On a mangé beaucoup trop de pizzas (le retour au gym s'impose). On s'est aussi gâté dans des restaurants BEAUCOUP trop chers; mais que veux-tu, c'est ça Vegas. Je ne me suis jamais sentie aussi pauvre de toute ma vie. Les gens ont tous l'air d'être riches et célèbres !

Un des restaurants où on est allé était magnifique. À l'Aureole, l'entrée était au troisième étage et il y avait un magnifique cellier en verre contenant des milliers de bouteilles juste devant nous.

Le soir, les lumières, la musique, la foule, tout est impressionnant. On est arrivés le 17 mars, jour de la St-Patrick. Sans commentaire. Journée internationale pour faire le party et Las Vegas est définitivement une ville de choix pour ça. J'aurais vraiment aimé visiter le Grand Canyon, mais faute de budget, on a remis cette expérience à une prochaine visite.

Pendant notre voyage, une énorme tempête de neige frappait Montréal... Désolé mes amis, mais moi, j'ai pris un coup de soleil. Moi qui croyais que la saison de ski serait définitivement terminée à mon retour ! Je suis quand même contente de retourner à Montréal et d'avoir l'occasion de ressortir mon snow. J'ai eu beaucoup de plaisir à visiter cette ville et je vous conseille d'y aller pour quelques jours !

It's not a coincidence that the first thing you see when you arrive on the main street called the "strip" there's a sign that says "Welcome to fabulous Las Vegas." Wow! What a fabulous city! You have to visit it at least once in your life. The budget that's invested in the hotels, restaurants and casinos is simply amazing! Marble floors, an exact replica of the Sixtine Chapel of the Venetian hotel, a replica of the Eiffel Tower, the fountains of the Bellagio, New York New York, and so on! 

In Las Vegas, we live in the sheer luxury surrounded by shops like Louis Vuitton, Prada, Channel, etc. The goal of our trip, my boyfriend and I, was to attend the international pizza convention which was held at the Convention Center in Las Vegas to find new ideas for the restaurant where my boyfriend works at. We ate way too much pizza (heading back to the gym asap)! We spoiled ourselves in restaurants WAY TOO expensive, but what do you want, it's Vegas. I've never felt so poor in my life. People all seem to be rich and famous! 

One of the restaurants where we went was so gorgeous. At Aureole, the entrance was on the third floor and there was a beautiful wine cellar containing thousands of glass bottles in front of us.

At night, all the lights, the music, the crowd, everything's awesome. We arrived on March 17th, St. Patrick's day. No comment. International Day to party and Las Vegas is definitely a city of choice for that. I would have really enjoyed visiting the Grand Canyon, but lack of budget, we're keeping this experience for our next visit. 

During our trip, there was a huge snowstorm that hit Montreal… Sorry folks, but I got a sunburn instead! I thought that the ski season would have definitely been over on my return! I'm still happy to be back in Montreal and have the opportunity to take out my snowboard. I had a lot of fun visiting this city and I suggest you to go for a few days!
